Reflection 1.1
I would rank my ability to use ICT to teach in the classroom as a 6. Almost all this has to do with capability listed for in the ICT capability at a year 10 level and the experienced gained through many different types of media. The teacher standards of how, when and where and what ICT is utilized will be my focus.
Reflection 1.2
My approach to learning and teaching is to encourage ownership of your own learning. Young learners will learn from parents, siblings, friends, etc as well as teachers. Directing the classroom and to reach desired outcomes means that the Teacher is responsible for the classroom with interactions from others via you-tube, interactive quizzes, apps, videos.
My main emotion from the challenges of this course is being anxious. It is moving from the comfort zone to starting over as a beginner. My experience with ICT in the class room is watching Ted Talks, "How to" you-tube clips, documentaries, on-line forums and weekly quiz. My children have interactive whiteboards in their classes for the last 10 years, so I have seen the capability without using one.
Reflection 1.3
The major challenges for me in this unit will be the many interactive forums and meeting places that i haven't; used before; blogger, weebly, wiki places. I'm accustomed to learning new programs, software and apps for new instrumentation, data management and finance. The lack of typing speed will be my detractor.
